Do not post an emergency here and wait. On the water, the closest boat is your quickest help — hail them on Channel 16 first, then post here so the next boats know.
Boaters warning boaters
This board is for the working water — Bayou La Batre, Fowl River, Portersville Bay, Mobile Bay, Petit Bois Pass and the ramps and runs between. See something that could hurt the next man — a submerged log, debris in the channel, a broken day-marker, a ramp tore up or blocked? Post it. Dead in the water and it's not an emergency? Post it, and let the closest boat find you. Got a boat and a willing hand? Say that here too.

Reports appear here as they come in, newest first. Every report also lands in the HBH inbox. Reports are posted by the public as-is — use your own judgment on the water, and when in doubt, hail Channel 16.
